Key Responsibilities:
- Support consumers by building positive relationships, promoting self-reliance, and providing effective processes.
- Act to de-escalate behaviour when consumers become distressed or agitated, employing negotiation and mediation skills.
Requirements:
- Cert IV in Mental Health / Peer Work / Disability Services / Community Services
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with people with lived experiences of mental health issues and/or psychosocial disability (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work with people experiencing crisis or disadvantage
- Demonstrated ability to work with people who have complex needs
- De-escalation, negotiation, and mediation skills
Job Description:
This role engages with individuals who may be experiencing crisis or have complex issues as a first point of contact. The position supports other services within the community, focusing on fostering partnerships and collaborations.
