Job Position Overview

This role offers a high level of technical expertise and strategic insight to drive strategy development, enabling the department to meet business objectives.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the Manager, Tail and Claims Performance & Delivery, assisting with strategic claims management decision making across all products.
  • Offer technical guidance and/or mentoring to help develop technical staff, ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Maintain consistency in approach to factors impacting claims cost by providing consistent and high-quality advice and sign-off support to technical staff.
Key Accountabilities
  • Regularly analyze audit results (internal & external) and develop frameworks to improve performance.
  • Regularly analyze claims trends and provide recommendations to enhance performance.
  • E nsure departmental procedures and training align with business objectives and legislative and procedural requirements, and are updated/amended as needed.
Essential Requirements
  • Extensive experience handling complex Workers Compensation claims, particularly supporting small business clients.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of personal injury claims and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with ability to collaborate effectively and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
