Telecommunications Solutions Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Solutions Expert to partner with our service delivery and business development teams.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for determining customer requirements of new and existing sales opportunities, then developing technical solutions that meet those customer requirements.

This is a customer-facing role, requiring the ability to generate technical documentation for bids and proposed solutions, provide comparisons between different solutions, equipment, and manage effective relationships with technical teams of potential clients and equipment vendors.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support, including leading solution architecture and design, presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development for wireless systems with focus on Public Mobile Networks (5G, 4G), Public Safety Networks (P25), 2-way Radio Networks, In Building Coverage (IBC), and small cells.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs responses, and technical proposals by collaborating with customers and internal teams.
  • Review and provide feedback on proposed RF design documentation, including system schematics, RF link budgets, coverage/propagation maps, and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, to produce pricing for proposed solutions.
  • Engage with suppliers to agree on technical requirements and assess the quality of their products.
  • Articulate the technical benefits of a proposed solution vs. competitive offerings.
  • Manage multiple projects and sales initiatives simultaneously from inception to completion.
  • Provide and own clear cost inputs, including rationale, in financial models.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure smooth implementation of solutions.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers and solution architects.
