Job Title: Advanced Trauma Nurse Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced trauma nurse specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice and guidance on trauma care, leading quality improvement initiatives and embedding education and training activities in trauma care across emergency departments and inpatient facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based models of care to improve patient outcomes and staff experience.
- Lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing trauma services and improving patient flow.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement education programs for trauma patients and staff.
- Monitor and evaluate trauma transfers between hospitals via the trauma hotline and provide timely feedback to referring hospitals as needed.
- Degree-qualified registered nurse with significant post-registration experience in trauma nursing.
- Possession of approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to trauma care or other qualifications deemed suitable by the organisation.
- Experience in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and enhance models of care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and successfully implement evidence-based projects, quality activities and research relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Clinical problem-solving and analytical skills, including interpreting data and applying insights practically to development and evaluation of models of care, education materials for patients and staff.
