Platypus Shoes is a part of the Accent Group which is the largest footwear group with over 750+ stores, 34 brands and 30+ online platforms including; Glue Store, Platypus, Skechers, Hype DC, Vans, Dr. Martens, Subtype, The Athletes Foot, CAT, Merrell, The Trybe, Timberland, Stylerunner, Hoka, UGG, Saucony, & Nude Lucy

**About the Role**:
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
**1. Content Creation**:

- Develop and create compelling, on-brand content for Platypus Shoes across multiple social media platforms. (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube & Pinterest)
- Be able to identify, create, edit and post still life and video content to ensure we are reactive and first to market across our social channels.
- Where required collaborate & brief the in-house creative team to produce visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.

**2. Sample Management**:

- Manage product samples, ensuring timely delivery and coordination for photoshoots and promotional activities.
- Work closely with the buying team to highlight key features and benefits of new releases.
- Work with our brand partners to request & return samples

**3. End-to-End Channel Ownership**:

- Take ownership of six primary social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest.
- Develop and implement channel-specific strategies to drive engagement, followership, and brand loyalty.

**4. Reactive to TikTok Trends**:

- Stay abreast of the latest trends on TikTok and incorporate relevant content into the overall social media strategy.
- Leverage TikTok features creatively to enhance brand visibility and resonate with the target audience.

**5. Working with KOLs and Influencers**:

- Identify and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influencers in the sneaker, fashion, music, sport & art space.
- Collaborate on influencer marketing campaigns to amplify brand reach and engagement.
- Host regular catch ups & events with our community of KOLs to ensure Platypus is always top of mind.
- Own the launch and management of our content community program which highlights our store team.

To be successful you will ideally have the following experience / qualifications:

- Proven experience in social media marketing, with a focus on fashion or lifestyle brands
- Live and breathe TikTok & Instagram with your foot always on the pulse
- Have a strong understand of youth culture and Gen Z
- Strong understanding of sneaker culture and trends.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms.
- Experience working with influencers and managing partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
