About Accent Group Limited:

We are seeking a seasoned marketing professional to lead our Platypus brand in Australia and New Zealand as the Marketing Director. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy across both countries.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Developing and executing the overall marketing strategy for Platypus in AU and NZ
  • Managing the Platypus brand health across both markets
  • Leading a team of 4, including Brand & Content Marketing Manager, Retail Marketing Assistant, and Brand & Content Marketing Assistant
  • Managing brand partner relationships with our key partners
  • Full ownership of the Platypus marketing budget
  • Driving the Platypus brand presence across all social media platforms
  • Managing internal stakeholder relationships and delivering key outcomes to the business
  • Collaborating with the retail team to ensure seamless execution of retail store needs, POP, and instore displays
  • Driving the PR strategy with an external agency, including influencer engagement and media placement opportunities
  • Ensuring brand continuity through content creation across all key channels
  • Briefing and directing creative requirements with the internal creative team
  • Implementing, owning, and driving key campaigns and events from start to finish, including owned and sponsored events
  • Ensuring all Platypus marketing investments meet benchmarks and reporting cadences

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Head of Marketing or similar role, preferably in a multi-branded business
  • A strong retail brand background is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Experience managing direct reports and working collaboratively across departments

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications. This salary range reflects the competitive market rate for a senior marketing role in Australia and New Zealand.
