About the Role
The primary function of this position is to serve as the initial point of contact for any issues related to the MOC and UGL fleets in operational service. This involves coordinating fault detection and rectification measures between the train driver and the Fleet controller.
This role operates on a 24/7, twelve (12) hour rotational shift work schedule, acting as the primary point of contact for all customers via a designated Service Desk. Additionally, this role requires input into operational planning for receiving, recording and prioritizing maintenance activities for the UGL maintained fleets.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolving technical issues with MOC and UGL fleets in operational service
- Coordinating fault detection and rectification measures with train drivers and Fleet controllers
- Providing customer support via a Service Desk
- Contributing to operational planning for maintenance activities
Requirements
- Trade level certification or equivalent engineer qualification
- Strong problem-solving skills and professional analytical approach
- Previous experience in rollingstock maintenance and/or commissioning
- Ability to read Technical Drawings, Schematics, Field Modifications (FMI) Parts Bulletins and Bill of Material Lists
- Capacity to resolve complex mechanical and electrical warranty, quality, maintenance and service problems
