Claims Specialist Role

We are seeking a seasoned Claims Specialist to provide exceptional customer service to clients and intermediaries, helping injured workers return to work.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of worker's compensation legislation and regulations, along with strong negotiation and influencing skills. They will be responsible for proactively managing caseloads of worker's compensation claims within the SA legislation and compliance guidelines.

Candidates will work closely with rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans in accordance with agreed department and Return to Work SA standards.

About the Job:

  • Provide workers compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers and providers
  • Deliver personalized face-to-face assistance to workers and employers
  • Conduct community-based visits inclusive of but not limited to work sites or medical clinics on initial triage of a claim and at significant milestones during the life of a claim
  • Ensure case management is in accordance with SA legislation and compliance guidelines
  • Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans in accordance with agreed department and Return to Work SA standards

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • The ability to effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work
