Occupational Health Specialist

We are seeking a qualified professional to provide expert advice and guidance on employee wellbeing and injury prevention initiatives. The successful candidate will have recent experience in the development and management of tailored injury management and return to work plans.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to convey initiatives and recommendations using effective messaging, and have a proactive view of problem-solving with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach.

The role involves providing recovery and return to work services, working closely with the Injury Management Team and People & Culture Team, and providing expert advice and guidance on employee wellbeing and injury prevention initiatives.

  • Develop and implement recovery and return to work plans and wellbeing plans.
  • Provide advice to Safety Business Partners and support employees/managers in completing claim lodgement process.
  • Implement continuous improvement of injury prevention resource information and safety training modules.

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health and/or Rehabilitation Counselling, and proven experience in Vocational Rehabilitation areas. They will also have experience in identifying and addressing psychological factors impacting work performance and safety, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
