About Cybersecurity Specialist Role

The position of Cybersecurity Specialist plays a vital part in ensuring that an organization's systems and processes comply with established security protocols. This role will be accountable for maintaining all necessary security audit records and preparing them for audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all required security audit records
  • Prepare these records for audit processes
  • Lead investigations into local security incidents
  • Ensure local security systems are effectively configured to detect and block threats
  • Ensure vulnerability management is performed as per requirements
  • Review requests for change from a security perspective and provide advice
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for local systems to ensure they comply with security policies
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Australian Citizenship is mandatory for attaining Baseline Clearance. A minimum of three years of industry experience in an information security function is essential. Solid technical knowledge of current IT security systems, practices, and standards is necessary. Experience in using SIEM, vulnerability management tools, intrusion detection, and other security systems is also required. Excellent documentation and communications skills are crucial.
