Our organization requires an experienced and skilled Senior Information Security Professional to ensure the protection of our systems, networks, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current security systems and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
  • Design and implement robust security networks and protocols to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Inspect and test the security of the network to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Configure and manage ICT security equipment, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, SIEM systems, tokens, certificates, and event logging.
  • Ensure users have the necessary equipment for their roles and perform ongoing monitoring of information systems.
  • Assess threats and risks to information security and execute activities related to the implementation and maintenance of information security controls and services.
  • Install, audit, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Develop policies and procedures to control identified risks and report issues to management as required.
  • Provide training on security protocols to staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in security frameworks and risk management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of current security risks and protocols.
  • Ability to work on-call during emergencies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under close supervision and take independent initiative when needed.

Work Details:

  • Full-time position.
  • 8 hour shift.
  • Ability to commute/relocate to Pyrmont, NSW 2009.
  • Australia work authorization preferred.
