Senior Information Security Analyst

Overview:

The Senior Information Security Analyst is a key member of our security team, responsible for assisting the local security officer in acting as the local information and cyber security representative.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Adopt, roll out, and promote related information and cyber group directives, policies, and work instructions within the ISMS framework.
  • Ensure compliance with group directives, policies, and work instructions by supervising and guiding local information and cyber security efforts.
  • Conduct control testing assurance activities, such as physical site audits, to assess and review security-related requests.
  • Review technical concepts and recommend improvements to manage security risks.
  • Support audit and certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the point of contact for AusCERT to stay informed about current threat situations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support business continuity management planning and exercises.
  • Contribute to the identification, assessment, and monitoring of technology risks in line with local and global risk management frameworks.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in information security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in information security.
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role.
