Security Consultant

Cyber security is a vital function that protects our customers and communities by providing a wide range of professional services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering on security testing and technical assessment engagements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough security tests on customer information systems, infrastructure, software, and networks to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Providing robust and considered remediation advice that addresses security weaknesses and improves security posture.
  • Developing metrics to enable customers to make informed decisions about their environment and remediation roadmap.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality security testing and technical assessments to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective security solutions.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our customers have the best possible protection.
Requirements
  • Full working rights in Australia (no current or future sponsorship).
  • Minimum two years as a security testing/cyber practitioner with capability in managing client expectations, time, technical security testing, and report writing.
  • Working knowledge of web application and network security, including hands-on experience in manual testing techniques and automated scanners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective stakeholder engagement, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of various technologies - operating systems, networks, enterprise applications (such as Active Directory).
  • Hold or working towards certifications like OSCP, CREST CCT (Applications or Infrastructure), or SANS.
  • Experience with cloud and container technologies like AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++ would be great.
