Global Business Development Leadership

This is a strategic senior leadership role responsible for driving business growth through partnerships with Global System Integrators (GSIs) in the technology sector.

The successful candidate will lead our partner strategy, forecast, bookings, and revenues, building relationships with partners at executive levels, guiding our offerings from product management to product marketing, and scaling them through global sales organization support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in alliance and indirect sales management roles, knowledge of the GSI sector, commercial expertise encompassing revenue and margins, proven leadership and presentation skills, insight into open source, Ubuntu, and competition opportunities, data-driven decision-making abilities, and an autonomous, disciplined approach.

You will work closely with GSI partners throughout their sales cycles and across their organizations to make Canonical a trusted partner in delivering opensource solutions at scale for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for driving business growth through GSI partnerships.
  • Leverage industry expertise to build strong relationships with GSI partners.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to guide product development and marketing efforts.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales performance and revenue forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in alliance and indirect sales management.
  • Strong understanding of the GSI sector and its dynamics.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through partnership development.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and inform business decisions.
