Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll function, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality payroll services across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

The Payroll Specialist will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing payroll in accordance with employment agreements, contracts, and company policies.
  • Handling PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and other legislative reporting requirements.
  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and queries.
  • Maintaining and generating compliant payroll records and reports.
  • Supporting audits and financial planning processes.
  • Executing end-of-month/year processes and payroll-related improvements.
  • Providing education and support to managers, human resources, and employees on payroll matters.

You will work closely with our finance and HR teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven expertise in end-to-end payroll (AU/NZ), legislation, STP2, superannuation, and EA/award interpretation.
  • Experience with Excel, SAP ECC6, CATS, and SuccessFactors.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A strong understanding of payroll-related compliance and reporting requirements.
