
Fibre Installation Specialist

Job Opportunity
This role is an exciting chance to join our team and work on a nation-building project that will benefit both urban and regional communities across Australia. As a Plough Crew/Plant Operator, you will play a vital part in the installation of optic fibre cables for the Telstra network on the Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) project.
Key Responsibilities
• Hauling multiple cables by hand and machinery, quality checks
• Repair blockages, operate plant and equipment such as dozers, excavators, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes, and HR trucks
• Labouring duties, cut and repair fences, undertake excavation using hand and mechanical methods
Requirements
• Current driver's licence
• Current Construction White card
Having any of the following tickets is beneficial but not essential:
• Current Heavy Rigid truck license
• Operator & VOC Excavator
• Operator & VOC Dozer
• Pit, Pipe & Cable Hauling course
• Senior first aid certificate
• Traffic management implementation course
• Work safety at heights
• Asbestos awareness certificate
• High Risk License
• Vehicle loading crane
• Dogman / Rigger

About The Project
The ICF fibre network is a groundbreaking project that only comes around once in a lifetime. It involves the renewal/upgrade of the existing inter-city network across the Nation. The new inter-city fibre cable uses advanced optic fibre technology and architecture which will provide additional capacity between capital cities and remote communities to enhance performance and improve connectivity to regional Australia. This project will support the anticipated growth in bandwidth over the next 25+ years. It's a nation-building investment that benefits both those living in cities and in regional communities.
