Located in the heart of Melbourne, The Standard Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Culinary Chef to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the culinary operations of our hotel, including menu planning, kitchen management, and staff supervision.

We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in a high-quality commercial kitchen environment. You will have excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of food safety requirements, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's commitment to quality and excellence
  • Manage the daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and exceptional guest satisfaction
  • Supervise and train a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards
  • Collaborate with our front-of-house team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of Asian cuisine and its nuances
  • Proven experience in a senior culinary role, with a focus on menu development and kitchen management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • A strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences
  • A passion for innovation and creativity in the kitchen, with a willingness to try new ideas and techniques

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $80,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
