About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Maha Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will work closely with our Group Head Chef to develop and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our Group Head Chef to create innovative menus that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Ensure the efficient management of kitchen supplies and resources.
  • Contribute to the development of new cooking techniques and presentation styles.
  • Optimize kitchen operations to maintain high standards of quality and speed.
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Foster a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Manage costs and contribute to the financial success of the restaurant.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior culinary role (minimum 3 years).
  • Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of best culinary practices.
  • Relevant trade certificate.
  • Ability to work in Australia in a full-time capacity.
