Job Description

You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of an effective data governance strategy across departments. This will involve defining and delivering the organization's data vision, championing best practices in data governance, developing robust policies and procedures, and ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with compliance standards.

  • Champion organisational understanding of data's role and value
  • Define and implement data governance policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Monitor alignment to governance frameworks and legal compliance (e.g. Privacy Act)
  • Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure governance is embedded in data solutions
  • Promote best practices in dashboard and visualisation management
  • Support leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systems
  • Improve stewardship and metadata management processes
  • Ensure large and complex data sets are usable, understandable, and well-governed
