Job Title: Data Governance Manager In Sydney

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering sustainable growth for our organization. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing our data governance framework, ensuring that data across the business is accurate, secure, and compliant with privacy regulations.

As a strategic leader, you will work cross-functionally with various teams to establish best practices in data quality, metadata management, compliance, and usage. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the company-wide data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Establishing data stewardship roles and responsibilities across business units.
  • Leading the creation and enforcement of data classification frameworks to control sensitive data access.
  • Ensuring alignment with relevant data protection regulations.
  • Defining and monitoring KPIs for data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
  • Introducing automated data validation and cleansing processes to maintain accuracy in large-scale datasets.
  • Championing a data-driven culture by educating teams on data governance principles and best practices.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with data handling, storage, and processing.
