At the forefront of data excellence, we are seeking a visionary leader to helm our Enterprise Data Governance team within the finance business unit. As a key member of our organization, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure data is treated as an enterprise asset and that data risk is managed effectively in accordance with our Data Governance Policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage data governance capabilities to meet business operations needs, ensuring compliance with our Data Governance Policy.
  • Uplift metadata management business capability to capture and manage business and technical data definitions according to standards and best practices.
  • Lead Enterprise Data Quality function, working with EDOs, delegates and Data Stewards to develop and maintain data quality processes.
  • Ensure data quality is defined, measured, improved and controlled to meet business needs, and data risk is within our Data Governance Policy data risk appetite.
  • Develop and implement Master and Reference Data Management business capability to ensure commonly shared data is managed according to standards and best practices.

Collaborate with Enterprise Cyber Security to ensure access to data and information aligns with our Data Management Policy.

Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience in financial services, preferably in a leadership or senior role.
  • Audit/assurance experience is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of data-driven decision making.
  • Initiative-taking and risk-culture contributor, with a proven track record of driving positive change and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
