Key Responsibilities:
  • Elevate organisational understanding of data's role and value in driving informed decision-making.
  • Design and implement data governance policies, procedures, and quality standards that promote data excellence.
  • Maintain alignment to governance frameworks and legal compliance, leveraging expertise in areas such as privacy, security, and metadata management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data governance principles into business solutions.
  • Promote best practices in data visualisation and dashboard management, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Support leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systems, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Enhance stewardship and metadata management processes, ensuring seamless data flows and optimal data quality.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and proficiency in data governance tools (e.g. MS Purview).
  • Strong skills in Power BI, with expertise in data visualisation design and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, SQL), version control systems (GIT), and markup languages (XML).
  • Hands-on experience with metadata management, data lineage, and quality assurance.
  • Deep understanding of governance frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, GDPR, DMBOK) and their application in a not-for-profit context.
