Job Description

The timely and accurate retail customer onboarding and billing process is a critical aspect of our business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of retail billing and settlement systems, ensuring they are efficient, timely, and accurate.

Your role will involve direct liaison with the billing system, including scoping, raising, and managing issues and change requests through to completion. You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring billing system and delivery performance meets agreed levels.

In addition, you will ensure system robustness by auditing input/output data quality and system performance, resolving any issues as they arise. Your expertise in problem-solving and decision-making will be invaluable in formulating useful analysis from available data and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain retail billing and settlement systems
  • Liaise directly with the billing system
  • Monitor and ensure billing system performance meets agreed levels
  • Audit input/output data quality and system performance
  • Resolve issues as they arise
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 1-3 years' work experience in retail electricity (preferably)
  • Formal qualifications (tertiary qualification preferred but not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with National Energy Market retail processes (such as Change Requests, Service Orders, meter data provision, and billing cadences)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver on strict deadlines
  • Experience understanding complex problems and designing innovative solutions
  • Passion and initiative, an eye for detail, and being outcome-driven
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to engage relevant internal and external stakeholders
