Job Title: Substation Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced electrical engineer to lead our high-voltage substation projects and contribute to the design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing substation primary engineering for substations up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with local and international standards. They will also perform detailed substation calculations, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and review technical documents and system studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing substation designs for large-scale renewable energy projects
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant national/international standards and contract specifications
  • Pursuing optimal design solutions as part of the design optimization process
  • Managing interference checks and resolving potential clashes
  • Preparing substation design calculations, including earthing design, busbar sizing, SC force calculations, lightning protection, battery sizing, cable sizing, and circuit breaker selection
  • Defining primary design subsystems and bills of material, ensuring accurate costing
  • Safely designing substations that meet electrical clearances and provide necessary provisions for maintenance during their lifespan
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in outdoor and indoor substations, preferably 330kV or higher (ideally 500kV)
  • Good knowledge of latest local standards & IEC/IEEE/ANSI standards
  • Proficient with various software tools, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.
  • Proficiency across various aspects of substation projects, including design, engineering, construction, and testing & commissioning
