Electrical Design Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing primary engineering for electrical substation projects up to 500kV.

About the Role
  • Design primary engineering for electrical substation projects up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with national/international standards and contract specifications.
  • Coordinate interference checker and its resolution, ensuring clash-free design based on defined clash checks.
  • Prepare substation design calculations, including earthing design, busbar sizing, SC force calculations, lightning protection, battery sizing, cable sizing, circuit breaker selection, bus fittings, insulator, transformer sizing, and arrector selection.
  • Define primary design subsystems and bills of material to accurately cost the design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in foundations, ideally in substations.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Geotechnical interpretation.
  • Good knowledge of latest local standards and IEC/IEEE/ANSI standards.
  • Proficient with various software tools, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.
