Are you a skilled engineer looking to lead the design of high-voltage substations? This exciting opportunity is for you As a Primary Design Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the grid by leading primary substation design up to 500kV.

Job Description:

As a Primary Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading primary substation design up to 500kV, including layout, equipment arrangement, and electrical clearances. You will also perform design calculations, develop complete design packages including BOMs and technical specs for HV equipment, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free, optimised designs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Primary Engineer on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
  • CPEng or working towards it
  • Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
