As a Principal Engineer specializing in substations, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering critical substation infrastructure that underpins the transmission network.

You will contribute to enabling new renewable energy zones and supporting Australia's transition to clean energy by working on some of the country's largest and most high-profile tier-one substation projects.

About This Role
  • Lead complex substation designs, ensuring they meet the highest technical standards while managing project delivery.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong technical skills grounded in fundamentals and demonstrated through robust and innovative substation engineering designs.
  • Confidence in leading design teams and passion for coaching and mentoring emerging engineers.
  • Broad range of skills that enable contribution to the power business more holistically.
  • Deep understanding of various engineering disciplines, industry regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Project management expertise and experience in integrating complex systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in software tools such as ETAP, DIg SILENT Power Factory, or similar engineering design platforms.
