Operational Assistant Role
Council Operations Assistant Manager - Yarralin. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Operational Assistant in the vibrant regional community of Yarralin.
- Competitive remuneration package, including remote area allowance, relocation assistance, and subsidised accommodation.
- A rewarding opportunity to make a difference in this unique regional setting.
- A range of generous benefits, including six weeks annual leave, 17.5% leave loading, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
We strive for excellence in service delivery and community engagement. Our vision is to be a leader within Australian Local Government, developing strategies that shape our vision for the region through effective service delivery and community interaction.
In this role, you will conduct administrative and operational duties while immersed in the local Aboriginal culture. You will effectively be the backbone of our operations, focusing on organisation, policies, and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Your strong communication skills will enable effective stakeholder engagement, and your developed interpersonal skills will facilitate positive relationships with staff members. Experience living and working in remote Indigenous communities is preferred, and cultural understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures is required.
Critical to your success will be your computer literacy skills, utilising software such as Approval Max, Office 365, and Roubler. You must hold an open Driver's Licence, complete a Criminal History Check, and obtain a Working with Children card before commencement.
