About the Insurance Portfolio Management Role:

This role plays a key part in overseeing all insurance matters across our organisation.

This includes ensuring appropriate coverage, managing insurance policies, and optimising costs while effectively mitigating risk.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Manage our insurance portfolio, ensuring coverage aligns with business needs and obligations
  • Coordinate insurance for construction projects, supporting contract negotiations and pricing discussions
  • Oversee annual property valuations and ensure compliance with levy and audit requirements
  • Review and refine insurance policies, balancing risk, operations, and contractual commitments
  • Liaise directly with our external insurance broker as the SME, providing guidance and negotiating coverage
  • Monitor insurance spend and performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and risk reduction
  • Lead the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and resolution
  • Provide insurance advice and documentation to support tenders, contracts, and regulatory needs

About You:

This role would suit someone with proven experience in insurance, perhaps as an advisor, broker, underwriter or claims specialist, who's looking to build on their existing skills.

You'll be the key driver of communication within our organisation, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage and alignment across teams.

  • Brings strong organisational skills and can confidently coordinate multiple moving parts
  • Reads and interprets insurance documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manages timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations with ease
  • Communicates clearly and professionally—both in writing and in person
  • Takes initiative to identify gaps, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure compliance
  • Works independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
