Job Summary

Administration Officer roles are available in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. We require experienced administrators to work in our busy healthcare environment.

  • Assist with emergency department operations as a skilled roster administrator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage medical staff rosters, ensuring optimal coverage for planned and unplanned leave.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to compile daily rosters, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with employment conditions and award provisions.
  • Coordinate locum placements, process timesheets, monitor overtime, and escalate staffing deficits as needed.
  • Collaborate with the JMO Unit, Nurse Manager, and medical leadership to ensure seamless operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new online tools and software proficiently.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in responding to enquiries and determining appropriate responses in complex work environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with HealthRoster system or similar roster program and coordination of rosters.
  • Proven analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to research information to resolve or escalate matters.
