Scientific Research Assistant - Immunology

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative research team within a leading health organization, in the heart of a thriving biomedical precinct.

As a Research Assistant, you will play a vital part in advancing human immunology research, particularly supporting a clinical trial exploring how immunosuppressive drugs impact the immune response to the Shingrix vaccine in transplant recipients.

In this hands-on laboratory role, you'll develop and refine a broad range of research skills, including the processing and analysis of clinical samples, coordination with trial teams, biobanking, and immunological assays such as ELISA and flow cytometry.

You'll be supported by experienced researchers as you grow your technical expertise and increase your independence in a collaborative, innovative, and purpose-driven environment.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification

  • Possess sound knowledge of human biology and basic laboratory practices
