Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise personnel in the Special Needs faculty/team.
  • Assist with identifying students with special educational needs, collaborate with parents and colleagues, and facilitate referral procedures.
  • Deliver interventions, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation.
  • Oversee adjustments for students with disabilities, collaborating with class teachers and other relevant personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers/educators to ensure aligned support plans.
  • Contribute to staff professional development and parent education programs.
  • Coordinate documentation for legislation compliance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • A four-year trained teacher qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education and/or extensive experience.
  • Active NESA Accreditation.
  • Current paid Working with Children Check number.

Working Conditions

The salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
