Ravenswood School for Girls is a leading educational institution dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Job Title

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Learning Support Teacher K-6 to join our team in the Learning Enrichment Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational support to classroom teachers and students, as well as designing and delivering tailored learning programs that cater to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing educational support to classroom teachers and students.
  • Designing and delivering tailored learning programs.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in understanding learner variability and developing strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with learning differences and disabilities.
  • Knowledge of current research and best practices in teaching neurodiverse learners and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering learning support programs, including modifications and adjustments to curriculum and assessments.
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with the Learning Enrichment team and classroom teachers to deliver evidence-informed programs.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with parents and case-manage students identified with additional learning needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate qualifications in Inclusive Education or Special Education or a willingness to pursue such qualifications.

Desirable but not Essential:

  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
