Special Education Opportunity

The NSW Department of Education is seeking applications from highly qualified educators to fill three special education classroom teacher positions. This permanent full-time opportunity will be based at Bankstown Public School, a large multicultural school with a diverse student population.

Applicants should have approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students with additional learning needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities. The successful candidate will possess highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute positively to whole school culture and work collaboratively to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, community and external agencies.

The role requires the ability to differentiate the curriculum and implement individualised learning programs that are culturally responsive, inclusive and maximise student success. Outstanding flexible classroom management skills are also essential, focusing on improving student engagement, creating a positive learning environment and promoting inclusive practices in all school settings.
