Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Product Developer with expertise in procurement to enhance our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, your primary responsibilities will include sourcing styles that align with our quality benchmarks and streamlining procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume sourcing of apparel and accessory styles.
- Demonstrate established knowledge in product development and garment construction across various categories.
- Ensure adherence to critical timelines and project milestones.
- Maintain the fit, quality, and design integrity of all sourced styles.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of supplier strengths and capabilities.
- Exhibit strong negotiation skills to foster positive supplier relationships.
- Oversee the production tracker, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Contribute to our sustainability initiatives by increasing the number of styles produced from Lower Impact (LI) materials.
- Manage priority sourcing assignments effectively.
- Follow supply chain directives and sourcing strategies diligently.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in product development.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with factories and suppliers.
- Understanding of basic procurement principles, supplier selection, and negotiation tactics.
- Ability to think creatively and adapt strategies as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Ethically minded with a commitment to sustainable practices.
