Structural Engineer Position
We are seeking a highly skilled structural engineer to fill this role. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in concrete construction, restoration, and forensic investigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey and evaluate existing structures to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Prepare and issue associated inspection reports for use by customers and colleagues.
- Communicate assessments and follow-up plans with colleagues and clients.
- Engineer structural repairs within assigned territories.
- Review calculations, structural drawings, and construction documents as required.
- Refer questions or seek technical advice from senior colleagues as needed.
- Research building codes and specifications as necessary.
- Provide technical sales support to colleagues for prospective customers and existing clients.
- Assist with training new engineers as needed.
- Contribute to the development and training of engineering colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, P.E. preferred.
- 7+ years' experience in concrete construction, restoration, and forensic investigation.
- Proven expertise in performing forensic and restoration engineering duties on existing structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage own schedule.
