We are seeking a seasoned expert to join our team as a Safety and Wellbeing Advisor. This is a 12-month contract that will involve providing high-level advisory services to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees.

The role will require you to work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to manage workplace risks, investigate incidents, and provide training and guidance on WHS legislation and policies. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist advice: Offer expert guidance on WHS matters, including legislative compliance, risk management, and return-to-work initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain systems: Establish and maintain effective WHS Management Systems (WHSMS) to identify, assess, control, and monitor WHS legal compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with directors, managers, and employees to develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of health and safety.
  • Monitor and report: Collect accurate statistical data and provide reports to senior management on WHS performance metrics.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of WHS: Possess a sound understanding of WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills: Demonstrate ability to communicate complex information effectively to various audiences.
  • Proven analytical skills: Show evidence of using data analysis to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
