About ESTA
We are the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA), the statutory authority providing the critical link between the Victorian community and the State's emergency services agencies. We provide Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services, including Triple Zero, for police, fire, ambulance, and Victoria State Emergency Service. We also manage the provision of advanced, operational communications for Victoria's emergency services, supporting police, fire, ambulance and VICSES personnel in the field.
In 2020-21, ESTA received more than 2.8 million calls for all emergency, operational and non-emergency calls; on average, this is a call every 11 seconds or almost 8000 a day.

About The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health & Wellbeing, the Wellbeing Advisor will be responsible for overseeing a rotating project of portfolios focused on priority areas for intervention, with an aim to improve ESTA's internal and external support services. This position will also be key to supporting the development and implementation of end-end Wellbeing programs determined by ESTA's Mental Health & Wellbeing Plan.
The challenges in the role will come from day-to-day responsibilities including:

- Implement effective person-centric Wellbeing and Support services through the development of end-to-end program opportunities and solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to the early intervention and prevention programs.
- Provide tailored support and coaching to areas of the business that has been identified as high priority requiring additional support.
- Consult with stakeholders to support business priorities and identify key focus areas
- Manage records for activities undertaken on reporting and auditing to evaluate program effectiveness.

About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following:

- A degree in Psychology or related discipline.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Training or equivalent training.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health & wellbeing support services in the emergency services sector or similar work environments including trauma risks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and solid understanding of Health and Wellbeing concepts, frameworks and practices.
- Prior experience working with a range of delivery channels supporting effective engagement and utilisation of health and wellbeing solutions.
- High level of organisational skills and the ability to respond to changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail to prepare accurate and detailed reports and correspondence.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement and working directly with people and their families, including programs for CALD, ATSI communities and LGBTIQ+ people
