Education and Training Specialist Role

The primary role of this specialist is to support redevelopment-based education within a hospital network, focusing on the development, delivery, and evaluation of programs.

This position involves coordinating and overseeing the implementation of services in the Wattle Building redevelopment, ensuring seamless integration with existing training needs processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and coordinating required education needs at local, regional, and network-wide levels.
  • Supporting complex and systems-level education needs through existing training processes.
  • Developing and coordinating orientation programs, incorporating mandatory training and simulation activities.

The specialist will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, reporting directly to the Program Director for the CHW Redevelopment and secondary reporting line to the Associate Director of Education and Simulation.

Requirements include:

  • A tertiary qualification in healthcare, education, or significant experience in paediatric healthcare.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate education and training programs.
  • High-level communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.

Collaboration with various teams and stakeholders is essential to meet organisational priorities.
