Job Title: Land Development Specialist

In this vital role, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of land development projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all assets are built to the highest standards, while maintaining public infrastructure.

About the Role
  • You will assess subdivision applications, certifying plans in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Review and approve stormwater drainage and water quality assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with utility providers to coordinate works within Council Road reserves, promoting efficient project delivery.
  • Provide expert engineering advice throughout the development lifecycle, guiding stakeholders towards successful outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
  • Engage with the community through responsive communication, investigating enquiries and providing clear technical guidance.
  • Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with permits, Council standards, and policies, upholding high-quality project delivery.
  • Contribute to reviewing town planning applications and engineering assessments, playing a key part in shaping urban development.
About You
  • To succeed in this position, you will require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, along with eligibility for Membership of the Institute of Engineers.
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Subdivision Act, Planning and Environment Act, and Road Management Act, is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills are crucial for success in this role.
