**The role**

Our career options are as diverse as our people, we all have an important role to play. In this newly created position, as Aboriginal Land and Water Manager, you will develop a roadmap to deliver traditional owner values as prescribed in the focus areas of Water for Victoria and our Aboriginal Engagement strategy and organisational land and water strategies.

You will identify projects that need support and advice in the planning and delivery of traditional owner values through the projects, through consultation and outcomes, whilst meeting all appropriate legislative obligations, within capital investment timeframes.

You’ll be a key player in supporting South East Water to build the organisation’s cultural maturity, through working with your cross functional Aboriginal Engagement team members to help employees understand the value of genuine participation and advocate for Traditional Owners, First Nations people and Aboriginal community organisations and businesses.

**Who are you?**

You will be an effective communicator, and ideally will have established contacts within our local Bunurong, Wurrundjeri and other Traditional Owner groups. You’ll be comfortable working in a matrix structure, supporting teams across the organisation to anticipate, partner with and achieve the desired outcomes of our Traditional Owners and Water Industry policies.
