We are seeking a highly motivated junior-mid level communications specialist to join our PR, Content and Events team as an Account Executive.

In this role, you'll support key members of the team to deliver a variety of communications projects across the business, with a particular focus on media relations, stakeholder engagement and event management activities.

You'll need strong communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, and passion for inclusive communications.

If you're a great writer with a genuine interest in news and current affairs, and an organised team player who wants to use your strategic communications skills to tackle complex social issues, then this role is for you.

  • Implement pre-agreed activity on client projects to a high standard, reporting to relevant project managers;
  • Undertake thorough research to support client work and the development of new business proposals;
  • Draft high-quality content for key PR formats (e.g. media releases, media alerts, eDMs, and social media);
  • Provide event management support for various event formats;Assist with the distribution of eDMs and other stakeholder engagement activity;Liaise with suppliers, team members, and clients as required;
  • Support relevant team members to manage client documentation, including the preparation of relevant WIP documents, final campaign materials, and evaluation reports;
  • Contribute to brainstorming and initial strategy discussions on client projects and new business proposals;Maintain excellent internal communications and progress updates with team members.

About you:

Qualifications and Skills:

You have undergraduate or post-graduate studies in public relations, communications, marketing or equivalent and/or one to three years' relevant industry experience;

You are self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work effectively in a team;

You have a positive, helpful and proactive attitude to supporting team members with a variety of tasks;

You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong attention to detail;

You have good knowledge of print, online and broadcast media and PR processes, plus a genuine interest in news and current affairs;

You have experience supporting the delivery of digital / virtual and in-person events (planning and implementation - end to end).
