Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the field of physical oceanography, atmospheric dynamics or air-sea interactions. The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills, a publication track record and ability to manage new and existing research projects.

The Climate Change Research Centre at UNSW is a leading institution with state-of-the-art facilities and expertise in various fields. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be working closely with our team to advance our understanding of climate change and its impacts on the environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical oceanography, atmospheric dynamics or physical climate science, with a PhD or equivalent qualification. They should also have experience in running and/or analysing output from ocean, atmosphere or coupled models, as well as a knowledge of small-scale ocean processes and/or air-sea interactions.

Key Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent qualification in physical oceanography, atmospheric dynamics or physical climate science.
  • Experience in running (and/or analysing output from) ocean, atmosphere or coupled models.
  • A knowledge of small-scale ocean processes and/or air-sea interactions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Demonstrated programming skills in a Unix/Linux environment.
