Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing professional to join our consulting team based in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will help clients in Oceania diagnose health, safety and wellbeing challenges, design and implement solutions based on best practice and risk-based approaches.

This is a hybrid position that can be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage various engagements involving physical and psychosocial risk management, strategy, audit and analytical frameworks, culture change and leadership to help clients succeed and navigate complex operational and regulatory environments.

  • Foster a collaborative and high performing team environment underpinned by coaching and development, while applying technical expertise of health, safety and wellbeing to direct project teams on delivery of health and safety services.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, both internally and externally.

  • Identify and communicate trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and marketplace.

What We Look For

  • A minimum of five years of technical EHS experience in process safety, safety in design, dangerous goods, risk management, or health and safety management systems.

  • Proven project management experience in dynamic environments, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, alongside strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities.

  • Experience in coaching talent and developing internal and external relationships, including client management, with the ability to travel intra and interstate as required.
