Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring the implementation of effective measures to control and mitigate risks across diverse portfolios.
- Guide the EHS function on site, oversee induction programs for new starters within your team.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain procedures and tools tailored for our Management System, aligning with legislative requirements and relevant standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, demonstrating a strong focus on compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with site teams to foster and enhance the EHS culture, using strategic insights where needed.
- Prepare and deliver a robust EHS training plan and program with HR support, along with a localized EHS communication plan.
- Facilitate and guide internal EHS audits, ensuring a comprehensive review of the reporting process.
- Hold qualifications in Workplace, Health and Safety (Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or similar).
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of local legal requirements, particularly in the context of Rail Safety.
- Initiative, drive, and resilience, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous experience in the rail industry or a similar safety-critical environment, highlighting adaptability and expertise.
- Solid grasp of safe working systems, rules, and procedures.
- Strong ability to support and inspire teams, consistently achieving desired outcomes.
