Australia's energy system and market operator is seeking a skilled specialist to lead the commissioning of various renewable projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of power systems and be able to develop long-term relationships with key industry players.
- Commission renewable projects from initiation to full output operation, collaborating closely with Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs) and Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs).
- Validate R2 models and drive close-out, ensuring seamless integration into the National Electricity Market (NEM).
- Strengthen technical collaboration with clients by resolving project issues constructively, focusing on tangible outcomes.
- Provide expert advice and decision-making on performance standard assessment, power system stability, system strength remediation, registration, and commissioning.
- Support regulatory changes to facilitate large-scale renewable energy integration into the Australian electricity market.
- Develop a coordinated vision for integrating diverse generation and storage technologies into the NEM.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Extensive experience in commissioning renewable projects, including T&D projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in R2 compliance requirements and model validation.
- Proven track record of owning and delivering small-medium projects, with a service-oriented, outcome-focused approach.
- Skilled in generator commissioning and diagnosing performance challenges in generators and power systems.
