About this Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the integration of large-scale renewable energy projects into Australia's electricity market. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation's energy landscape.

The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end process of connection and registering new generators into the National Electricity Market (NEM), leveraging their expertise in power system modelling tools and interpretation of study results.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to drive innovation, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure seamless project delivery across the board.

  • Take charge of managing complex, technically demanding projects from inception to commercial operation.
  • Offer expert guidance to regional teams, ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients by proactively addressing project challenges and delivering practical solutions.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification, proven leadership experience in delivering medium to large-scale projects, and strong expertise in power system modelling tools. They will also have well-developed experience in managing generator connection processes and resolving performance issues within the NEM.

Key Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.
  • Strong skills in power system modelling tools, including PSSE and PSCAD.
  • Experience in managing generator connections and resolving performance issues within the NEM.
