Job Summary
">We are seeking a seasoned Child Safeguarding Specialist to join our team. As a key leader, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of our Child Safeguarding Strategy and ensuring that children's safety and wellbeing are at the forefront of everything we do.
">About the Role
">- Develop and implement strategies to prevent child harm and ensure that our organization is compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on child safe standards, reporting obligations, and high-risk safety matters to senior leaders and teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build organizational capability to assess and manage risks to children.
- Promote continuous improvement by strengthening quality assurance systems, monitoring compliance, and ensuring our organization meets legislative requirements.
Requirements
">- Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or another human services discipline.
- Strong experience leading workplace investigations and developing policy, programs, and strategy at a senior level.
- In-depth understanding of Victorian Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme, and mandatory reporting obligations.
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence change across a multi-site organization.
- Highly organized, with the capability to manage competing priorities while embedding trauma-informed, child-centred practices.
