Job Opportunity

The Health, Safety and Security Advisor plays a pivotal role in driving organizational excellence by mitigating safety, security and wellbeing risks. This position contributes to strategic initiatives and provides expert advice on matters including editorial and broadcast risks, health and wellbeing, ergonomics, psychosocial risks, driving, office-related injuries and fatigue.

Maintaining injury management procedures, collaborating with injury and claims management service providers and addressing workers' compensation related matters are key responsibilities. Enhancing return to work programs, acting as an internal point of contact for injury management support and coaching leaders in RTW practices are also essential duties.

This role partners with business leaders and staff to raise awareness of and build accountability for managing health, safety and wellbeing risks. Conducting safety audits, inspections and workplace incident investigations, actively monitoring and analysing health and safety performance and contributing to the development of appropriate interventions based on effectiveness trends and gap analysis are critical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives to manage and improve safety, security and wellbeing

Requirements:
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering safety, wellbeing and health programs
  • Injury management and return to work program coordination
  • Building effective relationships as a business partner
  • Sound third-party vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in health and safety proprietary software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player abilities
  • Sound judgement
  • High levels of self-motivation, time management, attention to detail and accuracy
