Job Overview:

The Head of Risk and Governance is a strategic senior role that oversees remuneration policies and practices, manages regulatory reporting, and maintains accountability statements.

This position requires prior experience leading a function and strong people leadership skills, in a risk management capacity. You should have experience managing core risk management processes and frameworks, including risk profiling, controls management/testing, and obligations review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee remuneration policies and practices
  • Manage regulatory reporting
  • Maintain accountability statements
  • Manage the Office of the FAR
  • Monitor compliance with accountability obligations
  • Provide advice to executives on accountability matters

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up frameworks and processes for newly established line 1 risk teams, as well as a relevant tertiary or post-graduate degree in Human Resources or Business discipline. A strong knowledge and implementation of Governance practices for regulated organisations is highly beneficial.
